What Our In-House Lab Can Do

Single vision glasses in 24 to 48 hours

Cut and fitted in our own lab. When your lenses are in stock, sometimes the same day.

Lens swap for frames bought here

New lenses cut to fit a frame you bought here. Frame from elsewhere? Call first. We generally don't work on those, and if we do, you assume full responsibility.

Repairs and quick fixes

Most repairs and adjustments can be done the same day, by appointment. See glasses repair.

New frames, fitted properly

Choose from the full collection. We fit the frame to your face, then cut your lenses to it.

How Same Day Glasses Are Possible

Most optical shops send lens orders out to an external lab and quote you a week or two. Petite Optique has its own in-house edging lab, so your lenses are cut, shaped and fitted to your frame by the same people who sold it to you.

That is the entire trick. No shipping, no middleman, no waiting on a truck. It is also why repairs and adjustments here are usually same day.

What having our own edging lab changes:

  • Lenses are cut and shaped in-house, not shipped across the country.

  • The person edging your lenses is the person fitting them on your face.

  • Mistakes and tweaks are fixed here, not shipped back to a lab.

  • No middleman markup on the work itself.

Being Honest About Timing

Same day depends on booking ahead, your prescription and what lenses are in stock, and we will tell you up front rather than promise something we cannot deliver.

Usually ready in 24 to 48 hours:

  • Single vision prescriptions, when the lenses are in stock.

  • New lenses into a frame you bought here.

  • Simple sun lens swaps.

  • Repairs and adjustments, usually the same day.

Strong prescriptions, progressives and specialty coatings take longer. Progressives usually take 5 to 14 days, though some standard progressives are ready within 24 to 48 hours. If you need glasses today, call before you come in and we will tell you straight whether today is realistic.

Frames Worth the Rush

A fast pair should still be a pair you want to wear for the next three years.

The only thing that changes when you are in a hurry is the timeline. You choose from the same independent collection as any other visit, fitted properly by our opticians.

What It Costs

Fast does not cost extra. There is no rush fee, and you pay the same prices as any other visit.

You get the full price before any work starts. If a cheaper option makes sense for how you actually use your glasses, we will say so.
