What Your VSP Benefits Cover Here
Exams: use your benefit
Most plans cover an exam with our participating optometrist, with a copay.
Frames: your allowance, better frames
The allowance applies to our independent collections. Pay the difference on anything above it.
Lenses: made in our lab
Lens benefits apply to prescription lenses fitted in-house, with upgrades priced transparently.
Coverage and copays vary by plan. Bring your member details and we check what your plan covers before anything is decided.
Insurance Frames Don't Have to Look Like Insurance Frames
The usual trade-off with vision insurance is choice: a rack of safe, forgettable frames covered by your plan.
Your benefit is worth the same wherever you spend it. Spending it somewhere with 400 mass-market frames and somewhere with independent eyewear is the same money and a very different pair of glasses.
What your allowance buys here:
Frames from independent workshops like Theo, Anne et Valentin, and Face a Face.
Shapes and colors you will not see on everyone else.
A proper fitting by opticians, not sales staff.
Lenses cut in-house, so the whole job stays in one place.

Make the Most of Your Yearly Benefits
VSP benefits reset each plan year, and whatever you do not use disappears.
Worth knowing before year end:
Unused frame allowances expire, they do not carry forward.
Most plans cover an exam once every 12 months.
Lens benefits usually renew on the same cycle.
December gets busy, earlier appointments are easier to book.
If you have not used your allowance this year, a single visit can cover the exam, the frames, and the lenses.
Due for an exam? Book it and use the same visit for frames.
